The primary objective of the “Healing Horizons: Art Therapy for Grief” program is to provide a compassionate and creative space for individuals experiencing grief to navigate their emotions, express their feelings, and embark on a transformative healing journey. Joining this group requires no prior art or creative experience. We embrace all forms of grief and will guide you in using various artistic and creative materials. Our space is confidential and free from judgment.
Grief and bereavement are dynamic processes that reshape one’s understanding and experience of life following a loss. This journey profoundly influences an individual’s emotions, thoughts, and relationships, requiring the navigation of complex feelings. Symptoms of grief can range from depression and anxiety to post-traumatic stress, with resilience manifesting in the ability to move between different emotional states. This program aims to use art therapy to process these emotions and assist in the journey through grief and life transitions.
This is a crucial three-week break in the program, providing participants with time to internally process and connect with their grief journey. This period is an intentional pause, allowing for continued personal reflection and emotional exploration in a more self-guided manner. It’s a time for participants to integrate the insights and experiences from the initial sessions of the program and mentally prepare for the subsequent phase. During this break, individuals are encouraged to engage in activities that foster self-connection, any personal practices that resonate with their healing process. This break is seen as an integral component of the therapeutic journey, offering a chance for deeper personal growth, and understanding.
