Dr. Maida Toumaian is a psychologist and neuroscientist with a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience and clinical training in neuropsychological assessment. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Dr. Maida Toumaian has worked with adolescents and adults across a range of neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive profiles. She has worked with autistic individuals, people experiencing psychosis, and those with neurodegenerative conditions both in the United Kingdom and in Greece. Her clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and guided by a strong commitment to neurodiversity affirming care, ensuring that each individual is supported in a way that respects their unique cognitive profile and lived experience.
Alongside her clinical work, Maida is actively involved in research and academia. She was a lecturer in Cognitive Neuroscience at IST College in Greece and is a member of the research committee of the Hellenic Neuropsychological Society. She has authored and co authored several papers in peer reviewed journals and has attended a number of conferences. Her work bridges research and practice, with a focus on understanding brain–behavior relationships and translating this knowledge into meaningful clinical support.
Maida is particularly passionate about comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and helping individuals and families gain deeper insight into cognitive functioning, strengths and challenges, empowering them to make informed decisions about care and support.
